The new Renault Laguna Coupe has been unveiled at the Cannes Film Festival. The car will run off the Nissan 350Z 3.5-litre V6 which will be detuned to run at around 237bhp and 243lb-ft of torque. There will also be a new 3.0-litre V6 diesel with 232bhp and 332lb-ft of torque. Both of the V6’s will run off the front wheels through automatic transmissions and will do 0-62 in under 7 seconds. Renault’s Active Drive four-wheel steer system will be available on the Coupe, but the company has not yet confirmed which model it will be standard on. The model will only have two doors and the hatch, it will boast 17 or 18-inch wheels and chunky door handles with wing mirrors. We don’t know what to expect price wise yet, but it should start around £20,000 for the four-cylinder models and auto insurance quotes are not yet known.
