Available in all equipment levels for the first time in April, the new Skoda Fabia Combi has built a good position in worldwide markets. With 9,623 vehicles, the sales of the new model are 24.5% higher than those of its predecessor. The April sales of the short Fabia reached 13,267 vehicles, 25.8% more than in the same period of last year.

The best selling model is the Skoda Octavia with 25,475 vehicles (+42.9 % as compared with April of last year). The sales volume of Skoda Octavia Tour is 7,500 vehicles (+16.3 % as compared with April of last year).

“We are very happy about the positive sales trends, especially as we are now waiting for the launch of the new Superb that is soon going to get to customers in all major markets,” said Fred Kappler, BOD Member responsible for sales and marketing. “We are mainly growing in new markets, i.e., Russia, China and India. These countries accounted for eleven percent of Skoda Auto’s total sales in 2007. Considering the first four months of this year, the trend is likely to continue in 2008.”
